Transfer of Domicile / Continuation

Transfer of Domicile (also known as Continuation) is the process by which a company or enterprise moves its domicile from one jurisdiction to another without dissolving and re-incorporating. The company retains its legal identity, history, contracts and assets throughout the process.

RAK ICC welcomes companies wishing to migrate from other jurisdictions and also permits RAK ICC companies to transfer their domicile to another jurisdiction, subject to applicable laws.

Eligibility

To transfer domicile to RAK ICC, the applicant company must be legally permitted to transfer under the laws of its current jurisdiction, and must meet RAK ICC's incorporation and KYC requirements. A registered agent must be appointed prior to and throughout the continuation process.

Process Overview

  1. Engage a RAK ICC Registered Agent
  2. Obtain consent/approval from home jurisdiction
  3. Prepare and submit required documentation
  4. RAK ICC review and approval
  5. Certificate of Continuation issued
